Voices From Students
To find out about how students think about the project, we did a survey amongst 267 students in early January. To our surprise, we found out that 72.4% of the people were agreeable to the Rebate2Earth despite our fears of major student outcry. It shows that the awareness level to protect the environment has increased. (more)

Case study: Plastax in Ireland
>> In March of 2002, Republic of Ireland became the first country to introduce a plastic bag tax, or PlasTax. >> Designed to rein in their rampant consumption of 1.2 billion plastic shopping bags per year, the tax resulted in a 90% drop in consumption, and approximately 1 billion fewer bags consumed annually.

United States 2007 San Francisco is banning plastic bags! Visit our Newsroom for more information. The city hopes its legislation will be a model for other US cities. New Haven, CT is also considering an ordinance that would ban plastic bags, while Marin County, CA has launched an educational campaign and encourages businesses to promote reusable bags. .....
